Using this vintage Birkin as a canvas, Jay Ahr presents a special interpretation of the Persian carpet. The most celebrated expression of craftsmanship from one of our most ancient civilizations, the Persian carpet has come to symbolize heritage, creativity, hospitality and travel. Jay Ahr’s signature distressed embroidery technique references the Pazyryk Carpet, the oldest known carpet in the world. This bag is a vintage Hermès Birkin 35 in brown Clemence leather first produced in 1998. This leather is a natural grained and anti-scratch leather with a matte effect. Featuring round top handles and a foldover top with twist-lock closure. Detailed with gold plated hardware it comes with a detachable clochette with two encased keys and a padlock.
